Mama/teacher tip for the day. . .
Our library carries these devices called Playaways. They are essentially a mini-ipod with just one or several shorter stories on it. A place for earbuds, controls on the back and that's it. My children love them! I had never checked them out before but these are much better than keeping track of mulitple cds from a "book on cd".
We have started using them during quiet time, early mornings and road trips. I can browse through them online, find appropriate titles, put them on hold and pick them up with the other library books. Now to find child-friendly earbuds that will stay in easily.
