summer snapshots, #3

Summer journal, #3
After not making it to a game all summer, we finally went to the Sky Sox on military night. We invited some friends from church and it was quite the social event for all the girls. What's not to like about cotton candy, sunflower seeds and learning the game of baseball as a three-year-old?

As the flexible summertime was coming to an end, we decided to enjoy some special family-time in Denver. Ikea has finally come to Colorado and we knew that had to be our first stop. We enjoyed the $.99 breakfast before dazedly walking through the maze of the store. The crowds were minimal on this Monday morning and they had it running like an efficient machine. We purchased a few small things for the kids and thought about larger purchases to make someday. After a visit to the Natural History museum we spent the rest of our evening exhausting the girls in the hotel pool. We also had water-park tickets to use before the season was over. With several large pools, pirate's ship spray-ground, lazy river ride, and several large water-slides, it was the perfect family day, especially for the ages of our kids.

The Dump Bucket: 750 gallon bucket slowly fills up, then tips and dumps. After we convinced Maddie to try it, it became a favorite! {pink polka-dot suit is M)
