trip to downtown

We had a free week pass to the metro so Saturday we took a trip to downtown. We didn't have anything in mind to see but just enjoyed browsing stores such as Brooks Brothers. Maddie enjoyed riding the train but by the end of the ride was ready to get off!

Maddie was playing on this stage right by a store and asked me, "This is just for kids, right?". I told her "yes, that's just for kids to play and dance on". Then she added on, "And for boys too"...guess boys are in a different group than kids. :)

Maddie can now say "milk" with the "k" sound at the end. It was so funny to hear her actually say it right! (she used to say "milt") She enjoys her Sunday School class and Teacher Ina is very fun. Next time you talk to her, ask her about Adam and Eve and you'll hear the whole story. :)
Ellie is getting into more trouble these days but is learning that "momma's in charge" concept. She already says, yes ma'am...well it's more like "ma, ma" but hey, I'll take it. :) She's actually eating a little bit more these days. She really likes fruit smoothies and will eat little pieces of other fruit. Sometimes she'll much on some bread or pasta too.
