my daughters, the beauty-hunters

A picture of my bathroom counter last night. Yes, they are some winter-worn flower remains from our front yard and a multitude of leaves decorating the bottom. With a full glass of water to nourish it. My dear friend, Teren, uses the term "beauty-hunters" to describe the passion and eyes God has given to little children. I love the phrase and I think it aptly fits here seeing my daughter's attempts at creating beauty out of something we as busy grown-ups would surely have missed.

All of my girls have started their own gratefulness journal. Here are some of the latest thanksgivings. . .

  • shoes so I don't have to get splinters
  • pencils
  • guests coming over
  • jumprope
  • bathtub
  • daddy throwing me in the air
  • going out for ice cream
  • mama cooking food
  • warm weather
  • friends that don't hit (this would be Charlotte :))
  • hopping on one foot
  • Olivia (baby doll)
  • that I can climb
  • sharing my bed with sisters
