summertime and sound of music

Auntie Emily and Uncle Trevor are part of the play The Sound of Music at a local church. Auntie Em plays a nun, a party-goer as well as several other supporting roles. Uncle Trevor is a convincing Rolfe and subsuquent Nazi solider. We went and saw them last weekend with our friends, the Rokes. They both did an excellent job singing and acting in the play. Madelyn has not stopped singing Do, Re, Mi since we went and has decided she would one day like to be Gretl! :) Here is Madelyn and her best friend Alyssa waiting for the show to start.

Auntie Liz and Uncle Seth babysat Charlotte and Ella while we attended one Sound of Music performance and we switched with them for the following day, watching their daughter Grace and also their friend's daughters, Renee and Anne. We had six girls, 4 and under! It was fun and they actually all took naps at the same time and played well together for the rest of the time.

We went over to Auntie Liz's house this morning for the first day in the pool! It was actually warm enough that all the kiddos enjoyed themselves and cooled off. Charlotte loved the water and didn't mind water in her face at all.
