Our internet is down at home so Troy is graciously sharing his work laptop tonight so I can catch up on "the world". It has been beautiful weather the last few days albeit quite windy at times. The girls and I planted some wildflowers today and we are hopfully going to plant an actual garden this year! Just need our Uncle Ben to help us with our plot and we can have it ready in a few weeks when it's time to plant.
Today during school time, I was asking Ellie some questions from the Brain Quest game we have for 2&3 year-olds. There was a picture of a mouse painting a picture wearing an apron and the question was what is the mouse wearing? Ellie didn't know but Maddie piped right up....a mosque! Um, you mean smock? It's funny how they mix up the letters in their head.
We were reviewing the sounds "d" and "t" as Maddie gets these confused. So we play a game with the alphabet chart...I say a letter sound and she points to the letter that makes that sound. After doing "r", "b", "v" and others, I tested her with "d". She looked at the chart for a minute and then said, "Is there a "d" on this chart or what?" :)
Sorry for the lack of pictures...Internetless life is a bit frustrating at times but it's probably for the good of my children and husband. :)
