In honor of the first of the month, I'm starting a contest of sorts. The objective is to name Charlotte's new friend, her giraffe lovey blanket. The only rules are that it has to be a girl name and an added bonus is that it's easily pronounced by a little one. You can submit as many names as you'd like. Just leave a comment with your suggestions. Here's a picture of the new member of the family...isn't it sweet? And soooo soft too...!

Be sure and leave a way for us to know who you are...
just sign your name if you don't have a blogger account. :)

How appropriate would it be to name her animal after a giraffe from the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo!

ReplyDeleteFelicity - means "happy"
Naima - means "to be content"
Gimbya - means "princess"
Ifama - means "all is well"
Jabulela - means "be happy"
of the suggestions already made I like Annie too -
Sorry, I thought I had signed my name...that first list was from me.

P.S. I had the same thought as Ben originally too!! I like Sweta.
I'm honestly surprised this hasn't been suggested already, especially with all of these clever Fisk people responding. (grin) What about Gigi? I'm a fan of alliteration and this should be easy enough for a little one to say.
ReplyDeleteGabe is giggling as he (successfully) tries to say it.
Oh, just in case there is a question about pronunciation -- "G G".
Hmmm..I can't think of anything too creative. I mean we just called Dean's bear "Teddy" and now that's what he calls it. :)
ReplyDeleteI kinda like "Spots" but guess since that isn't specifically a girl's name it wouldn't really count. Best of luck finding a name! Cute pics of the girls too. Love the faces they are making together. Too funny.
ReplyDeleteI'll just agree and say that I think annie would be cute.
ReplyDeleteI like the name Josie the Giraffe...girlie and pretty easy to say!! It looks like such a sweet little blanket.
ReplyDeleteI like Jabulela best because it means "be happy" -- that's what you want her to be (especially when she has her lovey giraffe!)
ReplyDeleteBut I also think that Ben's list is great and I think both Muzuki and Sweta are good choices. I like the "African name" touch!
Whatever you call it, Charlotte will figure out how to say it ... or some equivalent :)

So what are the top couple of choices?? You could make a poll!
