loveliness

We are currently experiencing a bad problem with ants in our apartment. I don't like bugs to begin with but being pregnant and dealing with crawling insects is a large challenge. I've been constantly on the look-out for more of them (the exterminator comes in a couple weeks) to get rid of them.

Anyway, Maddie took a short nap today so she was helping me gather library books for our trip out later when Ellie gets up. As we were picking up books I discovered more ants and another place they are coming from. I was a little frustrated and just a little replused and displeased with these critters.

But the all comforting three-year-old offered this encouragement:
"Mommy, the ants just like it at this house because this house loves children."
If you know me and my experiences with this apartment, you know that it has been a less than pleasant time. I have struggled to be grateful for this place to live and be content no matter what I have to put up with by living in these apartments. Isn't it true that the love that is shared within a family can make a dirty, nasty, ant-infested tiny apartment into a place where God's love is lovely and into a place that is truly a home?
