date night

Last night was our first "at home" night out. Since we don't know anybody around here to babysit and it's not really a night out when you take your kids, we've decided to institute a weekly date night at home. So I've come up with ideas and menus for several weeks and I'll add more as we go. We put the girls to bed and then eat a leisurely dinner together.

On the menu last night was crusty french bread, a wedge of brie cheese, italian sodas, and crepes with nutella for dessert. It was my first try at making crepes and they were sooo yummy - easy too. After dinner, Troy helped me with my routine on the computer and we got it all neat and organized in one file. I told him, "this is your kind of date night" as helping me get organized is always fun for him...since he's so good at it himself!
